The Technology

Gamma rays are electromagnetic high frequency waves, belonging to the same light group as X rays. They penetrate the material, reducing or destroying its microbiological contamination, with no residues, no alteration or temperature increase. They have a high penetration capacity, making their use especially effective on already packed products.

The Cobalt-60 (Co 60) gamma rays technology has been known and used at industrial level for more than 50 years, for a range of different purposes; Gammarad Italia applies them in sanitization and sterilization.
